Randolph Harrison

An unlikely nexus of interests, skills and experience.
BIOGRAPHY
I operate this blog as a means to publish various articles related to my and my co-authors' interests, experiences, and expertise. I encourage and welcome critical, mature debate.
My primary interest is in what I term "Capitalism 2.0", although this is more of a trendy name for what is in fact merely the newest incarnation of creative American capitalism and entrepreneurialism.
I have a background as an entrepreneur, a management consultant, a venture analyst, a strategic technology leader, a telecommunications expert, and a software architect.
I graduated with a BS from Ohio State in Business Administration, Information Systems. I also studied Computer Science Engineering, earning a minor equivalent in that field. Later, I earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in NYC, focusing on advanced finance. Simultaneously, I also earned a MBA from UC Berkeley, Haas with an emphasis on economics and strategy, thanks to the schools' dual degree program.
I am my best when immersed in a thriving, exciting, challenging, risky new venture. I code, lead, plan, analyze, inspire. I drive towards the goal of turning technology into economic profit.
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, in beautiful Marin County, with my wife and son. I am originally from the Midwest, but have been a Bay Area denizen since well before the dot-com era.
My other interests include studying German, internet DJ-ing, computer RPGs, and the real-estate bubble. I am self studied in theoretical physics; the same in parenting.
